Do I need a doctor’s referral or a prescription?

Registered physiotherapists are first contact practitioners who do their own assessment and diagnosis of your unique needs. For physiotherapy, you do not need a doctor’s referral to start treatment at ellephysio. However, some providers require a doctor’s referral for massage therapy. Please check with your extended health insurance provider or human resources department for the inclusion of physiotherapy services and / or massage therapy services.
